Sporting Nebraska FC College Advisory Program (CAP)
Sporting Nebraska FC focuses on the pursuit of excellence, on and off the field, through individual player development within a team context. This also extends to our college placement philosophy; it is player motivated and player driven! This is the only way to arrive at a successful college decision and have our players prepare for future life alternating decisions!
Sporting Nebraska FC is committed to placing as many players in college as possible. Our goal is not to get every player to the best soccer program, but to find the school that meets every academic, athletic and social expectation. This will allow for the best collegiate student-athlete experience possible.
Through team seminars, individual meetings and other online resources, we educate each player/family on how to successfully navigate through the recruiting process. This training includes NCAA recruiting rules and timelines, resume building and communication.
Our teams will attend appropriate local, regional and national showcase events to provide the greatest amount of exposure to college coaches. Sporting Nebraska FC also hosts two college ID camps each year for both our boys and girls. This is in addition to the Sporting Omaha FC College Search Invitational, one of the most highly attended winter college showcases in the Midwest.
Our College Advisory Program acts as a supplement to the efforts of our players, families and individual team coach. Each prospective student-athlete must engage in every step of the process in order to reach the best collegiate decision. Our recruiting communication platform, SoccerRecruits, echoes this student-athlete driven approach.

The Sporting Nebraska FC College Advisory Program has a proven track record. Sporting Nebraska FC coaches have placed hundreds of players in the college ranks at all levels. Some of our staff members have coached at the highest levels in college soccer and will provide an exclusive perspective on the process. Since 2010, the state of Nebraska has produced 100 Division I female soccer athletes who have signed a National Letter of Intent. Of those 100, 65 have come from Sporting Nebraska FC. On the boys’ side, Sporting Omaha FC alumni include a National Champion at Notre Dame, Brian Talcott, and a U17 US National Team Captain and Georgetown Hoya, Peter Schropp. See below our other Sporting Nebraska FC players that have gone on to the next level.
