Sporting Nebraska welcomes Josue Rivas

Sporting Nebraska FC is excited to announce Josue Rivas as our newest coach to the Girls' Program. Josue is one of the top up and coming coaches in the metro area. Along with a healthy resume, Josue brings his love of the game and player development to our program.

"I am beyond thrilled to have Josue working with our girls' program. His personality, mindset and attention to detail are the qualities that we admire in his coaching. Josue is the perfect fit for what we look for in our coaching staff at Sporting Nebraska. Equally as important, he shares our values. Josue is focused on giving players the best opportunities to grow in the game and in themselves." - Alex Mason

In 2018, Josue started coaching as a volunteer coach at Creighton University. He continues to focus on analytics, scouting, and running individual to small group sessions for Creighton Women’s Soccer program. In addition to working with Creighton, Josue has spent the past few years working with local clubs in Omaha and is the CEO of Omaha Development Academy.

Josue currently holds his USSF National "D" license and will complete his USSF National "C" license this July. He also has his United Soccer Coaches certificate in Sports Psychology and Individual Mental Skills.
